No hair in my tea! During the Victorian period, mustache cups were quite popular. These handy little teacups featured a special guard on the top to keep men’s mustaches out of the tea.

Not a doc. Louis Pasteur invented a vaccination for rabies that worked on rabbits and dogs. Because he was not a licensed doctor, he technically wasn’t allowed use it on humans. When a desperate family asked Pasteur for help with their 9 year old child who had been badly bitten by a rabid dog, he violated that rule and the boy made a rapid recovery. This changed the protocol in the world of medicine, and inspired the creation of many other vaccines to come.
